Biography

Monika Johansen is the Head of the “Health Record of the Future” department, and a senior researcher within ehealth and telemedicine at the Norwegian Centre for E-health Research (NSE).

She has worked within ehealth and telemedicine for more than 21 years. In her work, she has been the leader or head of researchers and service developers for about 13 years. When not in leadership positions, she has been a project manager and researcher in local, regional, national and international projects. She has been the driving force behind several strategy processes and quality assurance processes, included development of previous research strategies.

In 1991, Monika completed a Cand. Scient degree in Computer Science, and, in 2013, received her Ph.D. in Telemedicine and e-Health, at the University of Tromsø. Since 2014, she is an Associate Professor at the University of Tromsø – The Arctic University of Norway.
