Biography

Lisa is a Senior Lecturer in Cancer Care and Lead for eHealth in the School of Health Sciences at the University of Surrey. Lisa has considerable research experience in the areas of health services and cancer care and has worked on a range of research projects, from European-wide RCTs to smaller exploratory projects to inform the development of interventions, and with a range of participant groups including patients, families and health professionals. Lisa’s research interests include e-Health and the use of technology in home and healthcare settings, supportive care, children and young people affected by cancer and their families, children and young people with complex health care needs and their families, and people’s experiences of cancer, cancer care and health services.

Lisa is the Deputy Director for the eSMART study; a multi-country, multi-site RCT of a real-time, mobile phone based remote patient monitoring system for people with breast, colorectal and haematological cancers receiving chemotherapy treatment.
