Mrs Kleopatra Gavriilidou was born and raised in Piraeus. She is an economist, graduate of the Economics Department of the Athens University Law School of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She is married to the economist, Aris Gavriilidis for 41 years.
18 years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Besides her family, the Panhellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer “Alma Zois” supported her during her health adventure.
She received specialized training as a volunteer and supported many other women with breast cancer in hospitals for several years, being a role model of reactivation and rehabilitation, participating at the same time in nationwide informational campaigns for breast cancer prevention and early-diagnosis.
Mrs Gavriilidou is the President of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer “Alma Zois” since 2006. As the President, she carries out the Association’s “Alma Zois” mission, that includes psychosocial support for women with breast cancer experience and their families, nationwide campaigns for breast cancer prevention and early diagnosis, training and supervision of volunteers as well as information on any matter regarding breast cancer.She internationally represents the Association and leads any action aiming to improve the healthcare conditions of breast cancer patients.She lives with her family in Dionysos and she is healthy, having made her personal “life transcendence”, just as “Alma Zois” philosophy strongly suggests.
